YATIR WINERY has joined the Twin Winery project.
This is a partnership between the wineries and winemakers from Israel and Germany, under the direction of the company Zag Wines belonging to Rene and Hochi Salzman. The objectives aims are fostering dialogue between cultures and creating friendships around a common interest in wine, exchange of knowledge about grape growing, winemaking and marketing, and promoting the recognition of Israeli wines, German wines, and both Germany and Israel.
Yatir's twin winery is Schloss Westerhaus located in the province Ingelheim near Frankfurt and the Rhine River.
The winery is owned by Evon & Johannes Graf Von Schonburg Glauchau from the Opel family. The winery produces about 150,000 bottles a year and is a member of the VDP - an organization of the best wine-producing in Germany.
