Over the winter of 2015-2016, there were several positive cold spells compared to previous years. This was slightly more than the annual average which was influenced by the previous severely cold winters. The early spring was pleasant even with a few meters of light rain. This all contributed to a vigorous and positive plant growth, with wonderfully balanced fruit.
Most bunches were full (with good ripening) with small to medium sized berries. The veraison and color change developed with high uniformity (what was not well developed, was cut back and removed).
Ripening is consistent and progressing fast, with full color and taste and the harvested fruit is arriving without being shriveled.
All this, together with healthy vines and renewed leaves, contribute to a harvest which leaves behind it, a healthy, strong vineyard and a yield which arrives unspoiled to the winery.
