Wine Spectator is the most prominent wine magazine in America, publishing articles and updates from the whole international wine sector, as well as rating wines from the world over.
The Wine Spectator magazine team will taste around 13 thousand different wines each year, from which 100 of these wines are chosen and receive the highest merit. An additional listing is made for wines which are rated as Best Value for money.
In the present magazine edition, several Israeli wines received recognition including the Yatir Winery which was highly evaluated:
Yatir Forest 2012 – 91 points
Yatir Mt. Amasa 2011 – 90 points
Yatir Petit Verdot 2011 – 90 points
Receiving over 90 points is a significant achievement for the worlds' many wineries , and is especially noteworthy for wineries from Israel. The Yatir winery has consistently received the highest acclamation from magazines and newspapers both nationally and overseas.
